What began in 2001 with one discouraged mother, God has grown into Winter Summit Ministries, Inc. While homeschooling her four children, Roxanne Parks became overwhelmed and discouraged about her homeschool journey, yet she was convicted that God had called her to it. In 2002, she and a friend attended a homeschool retreat in the DFW area that deeply encouraged her. The Lord laid it on her heart at that time to do a similar type event in Oklahoma for her homeschool community. She told her friend, “I am going to do this someday in Oklahoma.” Time passed and life went on. Roxanne continued to homeschool and in 2003, became the leader of Christian Fellowship Homeschool Co-op. During her tenure as leader of CFHC, she implemented quarterly meetings for CFHC moms to encourage them.

While refining these quarterly CFHC events, God reminded Roxanne of her vision for a community event to build up others who struggled in their homeschool journeys. After prayer, a fleece, and a survey, God brought together a team of like-minded, gifted women and 74 days later birthed the first annual Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit event in January of 2009. Since then, it has been Roxanne’s prayer that “god would bring His people to bless His people,” and He has brought together what she calls, “a community of givers.” Roxanne believes that we are most satisfied when we “give away the gifts that the Gift-Giver has given us.” She is honored and delighted to be serving beside some incredible and talented ladies that God has beckoned alongside her to uplift other moms in their journey.

Statement Of Faith

We believe that all the words of the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into Heaven, where at the right hand of God the Father, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for Godly living and service.

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.

We believe that the true church is composed of all and only such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the head.

We believe the Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the church.

We believe in the personal and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
